Social Warfare… The Best Kept Secret In The Social Arena?
After 5mins of searching Google, straight away it was clear to me that social plugins had taken quite a jump forward since the last I looked. That said, it also seemed to be the same top few always recommended for the competing title of Best Social WordPress plugin.
Now, most of these, I have used before and although are an improvement, I don’t really like them for one reason or another. So I was a little dismayed from searching Google for new upcoming social plugins.
As I said, I have used many of the top-listed social plugins via clients’ websites. Most, generally speaking, are good plugins BUT I had already written them off, Surely all these fantastic websites aren’t using the same plugins? So I began snooping around some very large active social blog websites that had a massive social sharing community surrounding them… again and again, I kept seeing this Social Warfare reference in the code.
At first, I just thought Meh, I hadn’t really seen much chatter about this, it can’t be anything special, but then my intrigue got the better of me. Why are ALL these top blog sites using this social warfare plugin over one of the top 10 most-rated social plugins?…

I never thought I’d find myself paying for a social sharing plugin with so many free options out there. However, social marketing is a huge part of any success so in that a decent social plugin is a must. After spending some time with Social Warfare and seeing a huge increase in social shares and traffic from social sites I have no regrets. I’ll definitely be endorsing this to my clients and buying licenses for any future websites I own.
